Workshop Description
Discover how to elevate your guitar playing beyond simple strumming through the expressive art of fingerstyle, inspired by the rich heritage of Xinyao. This 1.5-hour workshop is specially designed for everyday guitar players who already know basic chords and want to enhance their accompaniment skills for singing whether for themselves or for others.
This workshop also aims to inspire participants to appreciate and carry forward the legacy of Xinyao music through modern guitar playing.
Led by an experienced performer and fingerstyle guitarist, this workshop draws from real gigging experience to teach practical, performance-ready techniques. Participants will learn how to create fuller, more engaging arrangements using fingerstyle techniques that combine bass, harmony, and rhythm seamlessly.
Beyond strumming, participants will gain:
✅ 3 Essential fingerpicking patterns
✅ Elevated playing with percussion on the guitar (how to produce snare and kick on the guitar)
✅ Arrange your own Intro / Interlude / Outro
✅ Tips to improve confidence and musical expression in guitar playing

本工作坊不仅帮助学员提升演奏技巧，也希望通过吉他音乐，让更多人认识与延续新谣文化，使这一具有本地特色的音乐得以传承与发展。
