Tan Yi Zhen (Acoustic, Classical Guitar/ Ukulele)

Yi Zhen is a dedicated guitarist who began her musical journey at 12. Trained in classical guitar and acoustic fingerstyle, she enjoys arranging and performing pop music, bringing versatility and musical sensitivity to her playing. She believes music starts from within and connects heart to heart—an approach she brings to both performing and teaching.

A licensed busker, Yi Zhen began performing in 2022 and has since built a wide range of experience across street performances, community events, and large-scale stages. She has performed at YES 933 Hits Fest, served as a session guitarist for SGSW:2024 Semi-Finals and SGSW:2025 Finals, and played for numerous events including those at Our Tampines Hub and Bedok CC. As a singing guitarist, she also performed at the National Day Bay Celebration 2025 at the ArtScience Museum and regularly accompanies vocalists at various venues. Her recorded guitar tracks for local artists have accumulated over 300,000 YouTube views.

Yi Zhen was a finalist in Mediacorp’s “Battle of the Buskers”, showcasing her arranging skills and versatility across genres from classical to rock. She is currently pursuing her ABRSM Grade 8 Classical Guitar certification, continually refining her technique and cultivating musical discipline in her students while inspiring them with the passion and dedication that guide her musical journey.
